Happy Chinese New Year! Here at Amberjack, we love cultural traditions. Chinese New Year is full of tradition, storytelling, and fun celebrations. The entire holiday was built around the story of a mythical beast and a brave old man. The monster, Nian, would hide secluded in the sea until the end of the Lunar year when he would emerge onto the land to hunt villagers and livestock. The villagers had learned to hide in terror, until one year an old wanderer came to town and was unaffected by the fear in the town.
